I cant believe hpw behind I am at keeping up on the blog. My mom assigned it to me because she thought I would be good at keeping it updated and we all see how well thats going. The Campbell family has been SOOOOO busy since school started a month ago (I cant believe it). Me and Hanna are both in highschool (I know my parents are getting old) Im a junior and Hanna is a freshman. Im in trouveres which is the show choir and in senior choir and I stay very busy with that but I love it. Me and Hanna both enjoy going to all the footballs games and dressing up crazy and cheering loud in the student section. Mike started junior high this year as a seventh grader. Hes loving every minute and always is talking about the cute girls and absolutely loves shape. Sam is our man. Hes the last kid in elementary as a fourth grader and loves it so much. He really enjoys his teacher this year and his friends. Hes playing fall ball with the scrappers again and has had tournaments in Utah the last couple of weekends. He is also playing flag football on the patriots team. He hopes to be the quarterback of the Highland football team someday. GO RAMS!!! Mom and Dad are busy with work. They are wonderful in supporting all of us and we appreciate it so much. Thats whats going on with us hopefully I will have pictures up soon!! Love you all

Mom and dad just celebrated 17 years of being married on July 31! They both had to work but dad being the romantic fellow that he is sent her flowers and made her a card! Later that night they went on a date to the movie ( without Sam) Im so grateful for my parents and am so glad that we are a forever family!!

Matties Sweet 16

Mattie Anne is finally 16 years old and now dateable!! Whoo hoo! We have celebrated her birthday all week! On wednesday we had a surprise party for her and all of her friends came! We did a neighborhood scavenger hunt, roasted marshmallows, had tonz of snacks, and watched a movie on the projector screen! It was so fun but we were pooped by the end of the night! Thursday was her real birthday and mom and dad had to work so we opened presents in the morning! She got a new iHome, the new Jonas Brothers cd ( she listens to it all the time!), some new clothes and jewelry and mom and dad made a cute memory book from when she was little to now it was way cute! That night she had her first date! Her date was Raymond Price (a boy from our ward) there were about five other couples! They went out by Mink Creek and built a fire and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs! They went on a hike and when they got back they had made 16 cupcakes and the boys knelt down and sang happy birthday! Then they watched signs on the projecto and Mattie was scared out of her mind! While she was on her date we decorated her car it took two hours and it was filled with balloons streeamers and bows and lots of window paint!She had a blast but we missed celebrating her birthday so we sent her a video of us singing happy birthday to her! Mattie is such a beautiful young lady and she has grown up so fast!We love Mattie!!

Campbell Family Reunion

About two weeks ago (see how far behind we are?!) All of my Aunts and Uncles on my dads side came up for the week. We had a great time going to Lava and trying the new slides out on Monday and I was fried but no one else seemed to get burnt except me and Hanna. On tuesday we had a picnic and family pictures which no one wanted to do but in the end they turned out really good and cute! On wednesday the adults worked on grandmas house helping her get ready to put it on the market while me, Hanna, and our cousin Mateja stayed at our house and babysat the younger cousins! We had a blast we did beauty shop, barbie, polly pockets, the Wii, baseball, and tonz of other things! Then on Thursday we headed up to Bear Lake for a couple of days. We stayed in a KOA campgroud and it was a blast. They had a pool, a jumping pillow, bike rental shop, snow cones, mini golf, and they always had an activty going like a parade, dance contests, and many other events. On friday we went to the lake and boy was it fun!! The girls and boys decided to have a sand castle building contest!! We all were very creative and were very entertained by the sand. On Saturday everyone packed up and headed home! On our way out we got Famous Rasberry Milkshakes and then said goodbye! We had a great fun week and cant wait for the next family reunion!! We love you guys!

Super League

Sam just finished up his summer season of Super League! HE played on the Idaho Scrappers!His team did very well considering theywere the only Eight year old team in most of the tournaments. He was able to go to Bear Lake a couple weekends and loved it so much! He has made many friends on his team and cant wait for it to start again in August! Sams our little Stud!!

Scout Camp

July 13-July17 Mikey got to go to his first year of Scout Camp! He had a blast and loved it so much! He didnt really tell us much about it except his nickname was Martha because he was the assitant chef! Everyone came to church the next sunday and told us he was the entertainer of the week! ( He must get that from his dad!) He also earned ten merit badges and was one of two boys to take the swim test and pass it the very first day! Way to go Mikey!! Overall he had fun and we missed him very much!

Youth Conference

On July 10 and 11 our ward went up to good ol' Camp Taylor fo Youth Conference. It was a BLAST!! We arrived there at about nine on Friday and unloaded did a service project and then had leadership and group bonding activities. Later that night My dad (Bishop) came up and the youth loved teasing him! I challenged him and his second counselor ( Joey Chandler) to a game of redneck horseshoes. I thought me and my partner had a pretty good chance of winning but we lost not too terribly though. I do have to admit I let dad and Joey win because I know how bad Joey hates losing!!! Haha (I hope you read that very carefully Brother Chandler) Later that night we had a great dinner and then Brother Chandler did a FUN activity that helped strengthen and bond as a group! Then my dad gave an AWESOME fireside and then we played a few rounds of Mafia (I think thats how you spell it) We are so blessed to be in the ward we live in and have the awesome leaders we have! Im so grateful for my friends I have in my ward and the strength each of them are to me! WE LOVE THE FIRST WARD!!!

Fort Night!!

A few weeks ago we wanted to pitch a tent in the back yard! Mom and Dad were too tired and didnt want to take time to set up the tent when we would probaly chicken out and come inside! Haha (Maybe the boys but me and Hanna are TOUGH!!) We ended up building a fort down in our family room which was constructed of blankets, scriptures, T.V. trays, and big gallon water bottles. We finally got it built and we were all wide awake!! Sam challenged us all to a bubble gum blowing contest! It wasnt too successful! Sam put TEN pieces of gum in his mouth so it wasnt even worth having a contest! Crazy kid is lucky he didnt choke!! We all finally crashed at about midnight and what a fun memory we made together!!

Fourth Of July

On the Fourth Of July weekend we went up to our cabin in Driggs! We went up with our grandparents, my moms cousins Alex and Polly and their kids, our Aunt Nancy and Uncle Dave, and Uncle Lance! On Saturday morning we woke up bright and early so we could go see the balloon races in Driggs! They were so fun! After that just me and my family headed on a hike! We went up to Darby Canyon to see the Wind Tunnels. It was a really pretty hike. We had a really fun time we got to stop and play in the water. Mike and Sammy really liked that! After we hiked we headed home for the fireworks! When we got home there was a little rain storm but then it turned into a HUGE hail storm! It was crazy! After the storm had stopped we went up to our great friends the Chandlers and watched the fireworks! We had such a fun and exciting Fourth Of July!

Girls Camp!

Me, Hanna, and my mom just got home from girls camp! It was a BLAST!!! We went up to Camp Kamorah! It was stake and we got to stay for 4 days! we had nice weather the whole time, but on the last day it started raining right before we were getting ready to pack up! Hanna was crazy and asked everyone in her tent what was pooping on her tent but it was just the rain!! But over all it was a fun week! We had fun times and spirtiuals ones to!

Hope of America

Mike got the Hope of America award!! To recieve this award your grades have to be good, have a good attitude, be a friend to everyone, and show great leadership qualities. He was very surprised, before they announced the award he leaned over to his friend and said " defiantely not Michael Campbell" boy was he wrong. We are all very proud of him and hope Sam will get it then all four of will have recieved it.

Dance

Hanna went to Lagoon for Nationals. She got first in all her solos, in team dances she got first and one of the team dances recieved high gold. Dad always tells people Hanna sure can move her feet. She had lots of but it was scorching hot! Isnt she adorable!!

Summer Baseball

We have been so busy with baseball and all that our families do! Sam is done with baseball next week but has now been invited to play on a super league team and that goes a couple of more weeks. Sam plays for the Braves and has done everything from catching, pitching, and playing first baseman. Michael plays for the Giants and is the pitcher and also plays first base. Both the boys have done very well and have had alot of fun playing this spring. Michael's team has won 9 and lost 2. The games stress mom out a little bit but she is getting better and loves cheering the boys on. Dad just hoots and hollars for his boys.

MUD FIGHT!!!

Summer is finally here and since highschool got out a day earlier than juior high and elementary my friends and I wanted to do something fun! We decided to get hoses and go in the hills behind the house and have a mud fight. We had a BLAST!! Girls dont always get to get dirty and messy and we were disgusting. I had mud in my mouth, ears, hair, all over my arms and legs. It was a mess but so much fun! I had to rinse off outside for and hour and it still took me and hour in the shower to get all clean I think you see why.

Grease

After four long months I'm finally done with Grease! It was so much fun and a great opportunity. I met so many new people and made tonz of friends! I was in the teen chorus it wasnt a big part but I liked it better that way I still had fun and still got to do the big, fun numbers. We practiced from the end of February-April 9 and had shows from April 9- May 21. The practices were my favorite, we could goof off and thats when we really got to know each other. Although it was fun I'm very glad it's over. The costumes were the best and I had so much fun doing my hair big and curly!!

Wicked!!

For mom's 40th (WOW) birthday (April 11,2009) Mattie, Hanna, Dad, and Mom went down to Salt Lake to see "Wicked" at the Capitol Theatre. For those of you that dont know"Wicked" is the prequel to "Wizard of Oz" It was AMAZING. I had been bigging mom and dad since a year ago after I found out about tickets and we finally got to go. We had amazing seats and it was just fabulous. I don't even know how to describe it. It was WICKED!! After it was over Mom and Dad told me and Hanna that we were just like Galinda and Elphaba. Of course I was compared to Galinda the bright, bubbly, airhead, good witch. Hanna was compared to Elphaba, the one with the attitude. Fits us perfectly don't ya think? We had a great time and what a great way to celebrate mom's 40th birthday!!!!

West Yellowstone!!

For Spring Break we took a couple of days and went to our condo in West Yellowstone!! We had a blast!! Our first day we swam and just hung around!! We had a very rude awakening at 3:30 A.M. by the fire alarm. Our family was the very first ones out we thought it was a dream because no one else in the condo came out for ten minutes!! At least we know what to do in a fire now! The next day we went to the Wolf and Grizzly discovery center across the street! We got to go and hide food for bears in their cage and then watch them come out and find the food we hid! Sam met Sam the bear who weighed 1,015 pounds!! He thought it was pretty cool that a bear was named after him!! It was very cold there and they had loads of snow however when we came back from our trip we found that it snowed 6 inches here! We thought we left the snow back at West Yellowstone but I guess not!! Over all we had a great time and don't want to go back to school!!

Pine Wood Derby!!

Sam had Pine Wood Derby last week!! His car had to keep taking a pit stop because one of the tires kept falling off! His car came in last place but he had a great time and was a very good sport! Sam loves scouts and Pine Wood Derby is one of his favorite activities.

David Archuleta Comes to Idaho!!

On March 20, 2009 Mattie and Hanna Campbell were the two happiest girls in the world!! They got to go see David Archuleta at the Idaho Falls Civic Auditorium!! They were in line right by the tour buses!! Many of Mattie's friends texted her and told her they got to see David get off the bus she was freaking out!! Dad couldn't have driven any slower!! However Mattie didn't get to see David she got to meet his guitarist and key board players (which are pictured above)!Hanna brought along her best bud Megan and I went with my best buds Kendle and Lindsay (which are also pictured above) By the end of the night both Hanna and I lost our voices which wasn't too helpful since I had Grease rehearsal the next morning OOPS!! Mom and Dad both call us their crazy teenagers but we are what keeps life fun and keep them on their toes!!

Dance Competition!!!

On March 14,2009 Hanna competed at the Stephens Performing Arts center in Pocatello. She competed in freestyle, advanced solos, and team dances. In freestyle she took first place in her age division, in advanced solos she also took first in her age division, and her team took first in all three of their dances. We are very proud of her. She has more competitions coming up on April 17 and 18 in Thanksgiving Point, Utah and May 15 and 16 Nationals in Lagoon!!

Meet The Cambitts!!

Hey my mom finally talked me into setting up a blog for our family so I thought I would start it off with a little bit about our family. We stay very busy between the six of us with sports, piano, violin, church, and everything else our family likes to do. Dad is now the Bishop of our ward and it has kept him pretty busy but he loves it!! Mom is not the primary president anymore and is now on the activity commitee and what a perfect calling for her she loves planning things like that. Mattie stays busy with student government, choir, school, violin/piano, hanging out with friends, and she is in Grease out at Mystique and is loving it so much. Hanna is busy with dance, school, piano, and she is the official babysitter of the ward. Mike is finishing up basketball and getting ready to start baseball pretty soon and he is way excited. Sam is also finishing up basketball and he has done an awesome job this season. He is our little basketball stud!! My mom is way excited for our family to have a blog and what a fun way to keep in contact with family and friends who we don't see everyday!! Hopefully we can keep up with it!
